We think - this is it, the road ends here. This time I've really gotten myself into a pickle. No getting out of this one.

But we as Christians are called to be over-comers.

Heb 11:6 - And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Like our first step of faith in believing in Christ as son of God and Savior for the world and paid each of our debts on Calvary's cross; God continues to expect us to grow daily in our faith. Believing that regardless of our situation, circumstances or social status he reigns and his plans super-cede all others.

So when you or I face our next \ current challenge - let us remember who exactly WE ARE and who is with us ALWAYS and take another look at our 'issue'. Does it seem as big anymore? I think not - let us overcome these challenges and persevere to finish our race.

God Bless You.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://yourverygreatreward.blogspot.com/2009/10/can-you-see-it-your-overcommer-too.html' title='Can you see it? Today, is no different. Here I am starting a new venture with this whole 'Blogging' thing trusting in God to make it so much more.

I'm one person who looks at himself so often and says 'what can I possibly do to assist the Kingdom? I'm not worthy or there are more capable people than me out there.' Looking at myself through 'human-eyes' yes, those prior thoughts and statements are all TRUE! Through human eyes.....

But fortunately for me and you our God doesn't view us through earthly eyes but through His eyes which can see the end from the beginning and much to our surprise he has a far greater purpose for each of us if we just trust him and take that step forward.

This 'greater' purpose is why I'm here today and it is for this purpose I am starting this. I've been fighting off this purpose for so long with a litany of excuses as to 'why not'. Well, I've come to the end of my rope and all the while my very great reward has continued to love me and sustain me as he always does. His love has always been unconditional, unwavering, on-time, all encompassing and has been true from my first breath and will be till my last. So how could I keep on...? I couldn't. So friends here I go - my first step....

For several weeks I've been meditating on Genesis 15:1-6 imagining what Abraham must of felt during those days. What could he possibly been thinking, was there a lot of 'why's'?

Was his heart aching any different than mine? Was there a deep groaning in his spirit? How alone did he feel? Was there anything or anyone who could possibly sooth his heart or his hurt? Did he come to the brink of losing all hope?

Isn't it more or less than what some of us feel today? Times may have been different but the situation my friends seems to be the same.

The struggles he faced in his walk is no different than any of us today. Sure the circumstances or facts may be different but the same struggles with the same questions; why is this happening to me, is He listening to my prayers, and will I ever overcome? Just to suggest a few possible questions.

My response - it's part of the growing pains that we as children of God face. It's natural, normal, and required of us. At the end we need to prove ourselves to be fit men and women who have persevered, been refined, overcome and still pressing towards the goal that is on the other side of the narrow gate.

We have to be able to envision what is not tangible as if it were. That is what God did with Abraham, only thing is he helped him out, he gave him something he could see (and hold on to in his mind's eye) - he showed him (and us via his word) something very real and reoccurring to build his faith night after night. He took him to a place where he could see the stars in the sky. I wish I could see that sky! Don't you? Think about it, I'm sure there was no smog, soot, dust, pollution or any other climate issues that are in our skies today.

Abraham got a clear - HD view of God's creation by the creator himself. I can only imagine how bright and beautiful that must of looked. Maybe it was 180 degree view? Maybe they went to the top of the world? Where ever it was, it had to be amazing! It was life changing! It shifted Abraham's paradigm! Why do I say that? Well, it was an experience that stuck! It was a place which removed all doubt of what our Very Great Reward was really capable of. Verse 6 says - Abram believed. Much different perspective than what we see in verse 2-3 huh? He couldn't get past his current situation. He couldn't see a solution to his current problem. Not till he was lifted to a point above his problem and was exposed to the big picture - then he got it - then he believed! Then his paradigm shifted! He believed that he was fatherless now - but not for long and his family and generations to follow would be like the stars in the sky! WOW! Imagine that feeling he must of felt - the answer to his pain, hurt, tears all of it was heard and the answer en-route for the appointed time.

Reader - the same holds true for you today. The words are black & white written on paper which we all call the Holy Bible - but they are anything but just black and white and lifeless. They are active and living, breathing word of God.

The same holds true for you today for your situation, for your circumstance. Find a word that lifts you above your current 'problems' read it, re-read it, believe it, shift your paradigm and believe that your Very Great Reward is capable of fulfilling your Life's purpose in you.

If your a woman and the doctors tell you they have lost hope and that you are barren, think of other options to have children consider adoption, there is a word for you that says otherwise.

If you are sick and medicine has given you a time-line to get your house in order - there is a word for you.

I could go on and on - the WORD - will have a word of hope for you. Claim it, believe it and like Abraham - envision as truth in your life. Be able to SEE IT as if it WERE! If you are having difficulty with that part - ask the Lord to open your mind to move onward and upward in your faith. Ask him to help you to envision your prayer request. Trust him and he will bring it to pass.
